Dear Yuletide Writer,

Hello, hello, hello! I am sorry this letter is so late but I hope you find it, and I am thrilled that you will be writing for me this year. Whatever fandom it is and whatever fic it is, I know I will love it! Seriously, I have done Yuletide many times (so far back The Office (US), Futurama and The Hunger Games were all eligible fandoms!) and always, always been happy with and grateful for the fic I have received. Yours will be the same, I am sure.

Things and tropes I like in general: banter, humor, friends-to-lovers, sweetness (both real and bitter), character studies, casefics (if applicable), snappy dialogue, friendship and UST. Angst is just fine with me as long as the ending is at least hopeful. I read any and all ratings, from general audience to mature; porn is fine, with or without plot, but not at all necessary. I am a shipper at heart but also like gen fic; again, romance is nice but not necessary. I am all about characters, their inner lives, dynamics, motivations, actions, etc. I like plot but what really hooks me in both source material and stories is the characters. I am a character-driven girl all the way, so if you feature the characters I asked for, I am pretty much going to be a happy camper. :) I am also a hopeless sap when it comes to kids and kid!fic, not that it will probably feature in many of my requests, but do not hesitate to throw a kid in the mix if that floats your boat. If it doesn't, that's cool, too.

Things and tropes I generally don't like: I am not a dark-fic person. I dislike non-con and dub-con intensely, and thus won't read on-screen or even intense talk of off-screen sexual violence. Incest is also not okay for me. Violence in certain circumstances is okay with me, but not anything very graphic, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't feature torture.

Thoughts on individual fandoms I requested below:

I love this show so much I don't think you could go wrong here. If it's in the spirit of the show, I am so there. I love Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt to pieces together and apart. I think Rhetta and therefore Donna are about the funniest people on the planet. Even Tom doesn't annoy me, as I do think he is a sensitive guy underneath his intense-screen-time exterior. I like Ann and Leslie's friendship (though I don't ship them as a couple) and I also have come to adore the Leslie and Ron friendship and colleague relationship ("Because I'm Ron Swanson and you're Leslie Fucking Knope.") and though, again, I don't ship them, I think their dynamic of genuine respect and affection is lovely. April and Andy are probably my least favorite part of the show, but I still love them; I find Andy's journey to becoming a police officer interesting and April and Ben's growing friendship/big brother-little sister dynamic is pretty cool.

Anyway, seriously, optional details are optional, and I adore the source material so much that I will adore anything you write, too!

Oh my gosh, I have loved these characters since I was a child, and I always love any fic about them. Always. I chose this year to focus on Meg and Calvin because I adore both of them, separately and together, and I would adore a fic that featured them as adults in an adult relationship of mutual love and respect.

Again, I love the characters and the source material so much that any expansion on it is beautiful in my book. Just go for it!

Okay, I was so excited to see this had qualified for Yuletide! Anything would be wonderful here. A case-fic that reads like the show, a glimpse into the personal lives of any of the characters listed, a glimpse of the inner life of any of the characters, a window into a Jack/Claire relationship . . . any of those would be welcome, and so much more. "A Day In the Life" fic would be terrific, but I am so excited to see this fandom and what fic it may produce that I give you so much credit for being able to write it and am eager to see what may come of it.

There is such a wide range of fic I would enjoy reading here. You can come at Ramona still as a child, like it's an episode out of one of the books. Or what is Ramona like as a teenager? Or as an adult? What has happened in her life? This is where kid fic would totally appropriate, if it grabs you, either Ramona still as a kid or Ramona as a mom with kids of her own. I loved all the characters in those books, so don't feel like you just have to write about Ramona, either. Most of all, have fun!

Finally, I can't stress enough that optional details are optional, both on my sign up and here. Write the story that grabs you and that you want to write, and I am sure that I will love it. Enjoy the process! Thank you so much for writing a story for me!
